His career spans telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceutical services, food and beverage, accounting, professional services, managed services, and advanced technology research. Throughout that career, he has consistently bridged the space between deeply technical environments and the business priorities they must support.
Jim combines executive-level judgment with an uncommon depth of hands-on technical experience. He has built IT departments, security capabilities, monitoring environments, governance programs, disaster recovery strategies, and technical teams from the ground up. He is equally comfortable advising senior leadership, managing vendors and budgets, developing technology roadmaps, leading incident response, or working directly with engineers to resolve complex infrastructure and security problems.

At Withum, Jim served as Director of Internal IT and the External IT Consulting Group. He built and structured the firm’s technology organization, managed a 12-person team, and directed IT operations supporting more than 300 users across nine locations. His leadership included budgeting, governance, infrastructure modernization, vendor management, remote-access strategy, collaboration platforms, and client-facing technology services.
At Community Surgical Supply, he built the company’s IT organization from the ground up. He established its staffing model, governance, infrastructure, security, applications, data workflows, compliance practices, and business-continuity capabilities across a growing multi-state healthcare enterprise.
While consulting for J. Knipper & Company, Jim advised on infrastructure readiness, cybersecurity, cloud adoption, data-center modernization, and acquisition integration. He helped manage an environment containing 533 virtual servers and 106 physical servers and contributed to business-development efforts that generated more than $5 million in service-related revenue.
At AT&T Research, he worked alongside leading computing researchers on cloud, big-data, analytics, virtualization, and proof-of-concept environments using OpenStack, KVM, Hadoop, Linux, and enterprise automation technologies.
At Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, he served as a subject-matter expert supporting enterprise integration, infrastructure automation, cloud adoption, virtualization strategy, risk, and governance within a global financial environment.
Earlier in his career, Jim held senior technology responsibility with Chock Full o’ Nuts and Sara Lee Corporation. He performed technology assessments and acquisition due diligence and led infrastructure planning and deployment for 12 new offices and manufacturing locations across the United States and Europe. His responsibilities included networking, server infrastructure, telecommunications, security, application dependencies, vendor coordination, construction schedules, disaster recovery, and post-acquisition integration planning.
His healthcare experience also includes critical network and systems support at Community/Kimball Health Care within the Saint Barnabas system, where he participated in early clinical-network modernization and remote-site connectivity initiatives.
